1. About the Service

What is Backup 360?

It is a Sovereign Cloud Backup service which  is a fully managed backup and disaster recovery service from e& that automatically protects your business data and stores it securely inside e& UAE data centres. It covers everything from restoring a single deleted file to recovering complete systems, all from one subscription with no on-site hardware.

Who is this service designed for?

It is built for businesses that need reliable data protection. Plans start at 5 users and scale up, so it suits everything from a small office to a multi-branch operation.

Why do I need backup if my files are already in the cloud?

Cloud productivity platforms replicate your data, but they do not protect it from accidental deletion, malicious deletion, or ransomware that encrypts synced files. Most providers also apply short retention windows. A separate backup gives you an independent copy you control and can restore from at any point in time.

What makes this different from a standard backup service?

Three things: your data stays inside the UAE under local jurisdiction; ransomware protection is included rather than sold as an add-on; and the entire service, including onboarding and support, is delivered by e& as a single provider.

How is the technology vendor for this solution?

Our sovereign cloud backup is powered by Acronis. Acronis is a Swiss-headquartered global technology company founded in 2003 that specializes in AI-powered cybersecurity, data protection, and endpoint management.

2. Data Security & Sovereignty

Where is my data stored?

All backups are stored within e& UAE data centres. Your data remains inside national borders and under UAE jurisdiction at all times.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption, so it is protected while being transferred and while stored.

Can anyone at e& access my backed-up files?

No. Your backup data is encrypted and access is restricted to your authorised administrators. e& operates the platform but does not access the contents of customer backups.

Does this help with regulatory compliance?

Yes. Keeping data within the UAE supports local data residency and regulatory requirements, and the service provides the retention, encryption, and audit visibility that compliance frameworks typically require. Specific obligations vary by sector, so we recommend confirming your requirements with your compliance team.

3. Backup & Recovery

What can I back up?

Laptops, desktops, physical and virtual servers, and Microsoft 365 data including mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams - all under a single cloud backup provider.

How often do backups run?

Backups run automatically on a schedule you define. Most customers choose daily backups, though more frequent schedules can be configured for critical systems.

Will backups slow down my computers?

No. Only changed data is backed up after the first full backup, and you can cap how much CPU and bandwidth the service uses. Backups can also be scheduled outside working hours.

How quickly can I restore my data?

Individual files and folders can be restored in minutes through the web console. Full system recovery time depends on the volume of data being restored and your available bandwidth.

Can I restore to a previous point in time?

Yes. Multiple recovery points are retained according to your retention settings, so you can roll back to a specific date rather than only the most recent copy.

Can I recover a device that has completely failed?

Yes. Full system images can be restored to replacement hardware, so a failed or lost device can be rebuilt without reinstalling everything manually.

What happens if I delete a file by mistake?

You can restore it yourself from the console, provided it falls within your configured retention period.

What is the fair use policy for Microsoft 365 backup?

Per 1 seat of Microsoft 365 backup license customer receives 150GB of cloud backup per month, any storage limit above this needs to be purchased separately.

What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?

Backup keeps protected copies of your data so individual files, folders, or mailboxes can be restored when needed. Disaster recovery is about resuming operations — bringing complete systems back so your business can keep running after a serious failure, rather than only retrieving data.

4. Plans, Pricing & Billing

What is the minimum package?

100 GB of pooled storage for 5 users per month, excluding 5% VAT.

Is storage shared across users?

Yes. Storage is pooled across your team, so a user with larger files can use more of the shared capacity. You do not need to buy a fixed allocation per person.

What happens if I run out of storage?

You will be notified as you approach your limit and can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. Existing backups are retained through the upgrade.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. You can move to a larger plan during your contract term. Your e& account team can arrange the change.

Are there any setup or activation fees?

No. There are no installation or activation charges. You pay only the monthly subscription.

How am I billed?

Billing is monthly and appears on your e& business account, alongside your other e& services.

What is the contract length?

The standard contract period is 12 months.

What exit charges apply?

There are no exit charges and no penalty fees for this service.

Do the prices shown include VAT?

No. All prices shown exclude the 5% VAT charge, which is added to your total bill value.
